Exploring the creek after a good snow or freeze is something we always look forward to. It's so quiet, still, and magical. Today was no different. We startled a heron and were delighted to see him take flight into the woods. He was gorgeous.
We climbed around a bit, exploring various parts of the creek and the waterfall that comes off the hillside. The water was still running and was so pretty and clear. This creek usually dries up in Summer and when big rains come it's a deluge and therefor dirty. It was nice to see it so clean and clear.
