Day 9: Tree
I thought more of the tree would be visible in this shot! Oh, well.
We found this tree at a lot in the next town over. I love the look of Scotch pines, but the needles are so sharp. This is a Douglas fir and is much softer and is supposed to retain needles better. Ben strung 4 sets of white LED globe lights onto it and I piled all of our family and travel ornaments.
I love waking up each morning while it's still a bit dark. I plug in the lights and just sit and look at it. If I could find a way to keep a Christmas tree up all year long I would!
