2014 Florida Vacation Day 4: Magic Kingdom
I've been to MK several times, but this time was my favorite. Oh, I'm sure I enjoyed it as a kid, but there's something about watching your own kids enjoying something that makes it really come alive.
After securing our fastpasses, we had some time to kill. The Monster's Laugh Floor boasted a 10 minute wait time so we started off there. So, so funny. We had a blast. The comedian put the camera on Tim and the text said something about dancing. We cracked up. That was NOT going to happen.
At one point, we also did the bumper cars. Gabe and I drove together and had a good time. The rest of the crew was disappointed, but I think they had high expectations.

Of course, we had to do some of the classic rides.

I wasn't sure what Gabe would think of The Haunted Mansion. I envisioned him having a screaming fit in the middle. He insisted he wasn't afraid...and he did awesome! Especially considering we were stuck in line for a while due to some malfunction and then got stuck on the ride for a bit. Not at all worried. Little trooper!
We stayed true to our word and left the park at around midday so that we could catch a nap back at the condo. We took the ferry back, instead of the monorail, just to get the full experience.
After the nap we headed back to the Magic Kingdom and picked up where we'd left off! We did a bunch more stuff including the Jungle cruise and a walk-through of the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
At some point in my life, I'm going to need to live in a treehouse. So cool.
We decided to do Splash Mountain. Luke was on board, but Gabe was hesitant. He agreed to try. But then he got sick in line. I rushed him to the bathroom while everyone else went ahead. Poor guy. Too much heat and excitement, I guess. It was dark by then, so we rested on a bench by the ride's exit. Talked a bit to a nice Norwegian lady who was in the area visiting with family.
The light show and parade were really neat. I wish I could have taken better pictures of the castle. It was gorgeous.

It was getting really late and we were tired and hungry, but we found a curb to sit on on Main Street. I'm so glad we stayed. The parade was so neat.
