I Tried It and I Liked It: Homemade Lotion
I've had two friends give/send me homemade lotion over the past year. I loved both recipes and knew I needed to make some for myself. I tried this recipe for making homemade lotion and it turned out really, really well.
If it looks a lot like homemade mayo, it's because I used olive oil. I also added two drops of lavender oil. Could have used more. Oh, well. It's a little olive-y, but I LOVE the texture and it made enough to fill 3 small canning jars so I'll have lotion for a while!
The worst part? Cutting into the huge slab of beeswax. Not bad enough to keep me from making lotion again, though. I'm addicted!

Yay! So glad you tried it, it is addicting to make your own! Now if only you lived closer... we could play in my herb cabinet all the time!

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, I'm ashamed to admit that I only used your liver tonic intermittently. Just went to the ND this week and she said my liver is still sluggish. It's been sluggish every single time she's tested me for this past year. Needless to say, I'm finishing up your liver tonic and may put in an order for more, if you have the stuff on hand. Let me know how much $$!
