Ikea Wish List

Ben informed me that he'd like to take me to Chicago for my birthday. He knows how much I love IKEA and we are planning (hoping and praying) we can do some renovations on our house this year.

Here are some things I have my eye on:

This bench would be perfect for our table. Two of our chairs have fallen apart. They've been repaired once already. I think it's time to let them go. But a matching set of chairs is stinking expensive. I saw this bench and knew it would be perfect. Some day we'll probably buy a second bench for the other side of the table as those chairs give up the ghost, as well.



I love this shoe cabinet! We have a too-small table right by our front door. As it is, the table doesn't fill the space, PLUS it's off-centered due to where the wall vent is located. It's goofy and awkward. This shoe cabinet is perfect because it will clear the vent, fill the space nicely, and it will hold all of our shoes so that I can relocate the ugly shoe shelf we currently have in the entryway. We live in a small house that does not have a closet at the front door so nice-looking storage options are worth their weight in gold!!



A set of these gray placemats would look perfect on our table! Love them!



This pendant lamp is so pretty. Right now we have a fine-but-boring set of lights over our island. I'd love to get a duo or trio of these instead. Hoping I can convince the chief lighting installer to okay this project.



I need one of these in both sizes. Love the color of the wood and the metal detail on the corner. So. Cool.



I've been eyeballing this fabric for a long time. I'm going to bite the bullet and buy a yard. Or two. I'm thinking I can make my sister some pillows for her livingroom. Maybe a pillow or two for mine, too. Maybe a swatch will end up framed, as well.

Needless to say, I could keep going and going, but even birthday trips have limits!
